Major General Mohsen Khasrouf, former director of the Moral Guidance Department of the Hadi puppet government forces, has on Sunday accused the UAE of causing the defeat of the Saudi-led coalition forces in Ma’rib province.
In a statement made to the pro-coalition Balqees TV channel, Major General Khasrouf indicated that “Emirati funds played a role in the loss of the coalition forces to the battle in Ma’rib.”
“UAE dirhams played a role in the battle for Ma’rib, and stabbed the coalition forces in the back,” Khasrouf said.
Khasrouf was referred for judicial investigation by Hadi, on July 11 2019, due to his criticism of the coalition’s role in Yemen.
