Six Yemeni soldiers freed in prisoner swap deal

The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, Abdul Qadir Al-Murtadha, has revealed on Friday the liberation of six Yemeni prisoners in a prisoner exchange won through local mediation in Ma’rib front.

“Six prisoners of the army and the Popular Committees were freed today, in a prisoner swap through local mediation at the Ma’rib front,” Al-Murtadha said on his Twitter account.

The deal comes less than a week after the success of a prisoner exchange in which 18 captives of the army and the popular committees were freed on the same front through a local mediator.
