Yemeni military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, has confirmed that the Yemeni Missile Force and Air Force have carried out a major joint offensive operation towards several targets deep inside Saudi Arabia.
“This is the Sixth Deterrence Operation”, he said at a news conference on Sunday night.
“14 drones and eight ballistic missiles were used in the operation”, he stated.
“A ballistic missile of the type Thulfiqar and 14 drone aircraft including ten Samad-3 UAVs were used in the operation that targeted Aramco company in Ras Tanura port and other military targets in Al Dammam area,” Sare’e explained.
“Other military targets in Asir and Jizan regions were bombed accurately by four Qasef-2K drones and seven Badr ballistic missiles,” the military spokesman added
He confirmed that they hit the targets accurately.
Sare’e noted that the attack comes within the framework of a retaliatory response to the Saudi escalation, airstrikes and continued siege against the country.
“The military operations will continue as long as the Saudi-led aggression coalition continues its aggression and siege,” Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e concluded.
The export terminals at Ras Tanura on the Persian Gulf are among the largest in the world. Designed to export crude oil and LPG, the facilities include two piers and one sea island with a total of eighteen berths, which can accommodate ships of up to 550,000 deadweight tons.
The facilities also included a tank farm with total storage capacity of 33 million barrels.
