Explosion in Saudi-held city of Taiz injures eight

At least eight civilians were injured on Friday, in an explosion at a local popular market under control of Islah militants in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.

According to the local sources, an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in Najd Qasim market used for selling vegetables in Al-Masrakh district, injuring eight people, including a child.

The sources said that the explosion also caused damage to citizens’ property.

Taiz province has been witnessing in a state of security chaos amid the spread of armed terrorist groups affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition.
