Fierce clashes broke out on Thursday evening between Yemeni army and Saudi-led coalition forces in the border areas linking Hajjah province and with Saudi Arabia, military sources said.
According to the sources, the Yemeni army forces fought fierce battles during the past hours against coalition forces in the outskirts of Hiran district in Hajjah province, northwest Yemen.
The army force were able to repel infiltration attempts carried out by the Saudi-led mercenaries towards the army’s locations in the same district. They also seized huge military equipment including military and armored and vehicles.
The official confirmed that the Saudi coalition could not make any progress towards Abs district, which is still in full control of Yemeni army forces.
