Petroleum ship hijacked by Saudis 10 months ago, leaves for unknown destination

The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC)’s Executive Director, Ammar Al-Adhra’i, on Saturday said the “Bending Victory” ship, held by Saudi-led coalition for 10 months off Jizan coast, left its place of detention to an unknown destination.

Al-Adhra’i explained that the vessel has malfunctioned, and carries more than 30,000 tons of gasoline, noting that it is one of 14 oil ships held by the coalition off Jizan.

On Friday, Al-Adhra’i indicated  that the fines for delaying of the oil ships held by Saudi-led coalition forces exceeded 34 million dollars, equivalent to 21 Yemeni billion riyals.

The move came during a protest in front of the UN headquarters in the capital Sana’a, organized by the YPC entitled “USA Detains Oil Ships .”
