Bahraini Sheikh Issa Qassem has called for an end to the presence of Saudi and UAE forces in Bahrain.
“These forces have intervened to silence the voice of the people, keeping the unjust situation growing and worsening day by day,” Sheikh Issa Qassem said in a statement issued on the anniversary of the arrival of the Peninsula Shield Force.
The Sheikh stressed that the injustice in the region is “the path of weakness and annihilation.”
“The day of the entry of these Saudi-UAE forces into Bahrain was the day when our dignity was lost, and cooperation on sin and aggression began, and cooperation on righteousness and piety was abolished.”
Sheikh Issa Qassem called for the immediate end to the presence of these forces in Bahrain, which he said constitutes a “blatant injustice.”
Saudi and UAE forces entered Bahrain in March 2011, in order to end the popular revolution that broke out in Bahrain on February 14 of that year.
