Millions of Yemenis gather in mass rallies to mark six years of resistance against Saudi invasion

Millions of Yemeni people have staged mass rallies on Friday in the capital Sana’a and several other provinces like Saada, Taiz, Jawf and Raymah, Dhamar, Hodeidah, Hajjah, Amran and Mahweet, marking the “National Day of Steadfastness” and the passage of six years of the Saudi invasion of Yemen.

Crowds of participants from all districts of the capital flocked to the airport road square, carrying banners confirming the continuation of steadfastness for the seventh year against the US-Saudi aggression.
The participants raised flags of the Republic of Yemen, banners and slogans and pictures of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi.

The participants chanted slogans such as “Death to America! Death to Israel!”, and “Never retreat, our steadfastness is as steady as the mountains!” as the voices of the crowds cheered with slogans of freedom.

A statement, issued by the mass rally, appreciated the legitimate defensive operations carried out by Yemeni army and Popular Committees,, praising the field victories on all fronts.

The statement called on the Armed Forces to retaliate against the coalition’s targeting of Sana’a Airport and the disruption of Hodeidah port, stressing that the coalition countries must stop their aggression and lift the siege completely.

At the same time, the statement confirmed that the “Yemeni people stand by real peace that guarantees the sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity of Yemen.” The statement added that “Yemen is still in a position of self-defence”, and that the response to the coalition aggression “will continue until [the invasion] ends.”

The statement furthermore affirmed Yemen’s adherence to support the cause of Palestine, and their rejection of collaboration with Zionism.
