A military source in Ma’rib province has on Thursday warned against Saudi-led coalition forces’ plans to commit crimes against refugees in the province, as a way to try and force Yemeni forces to end their advance on the city.
In a statement to Al-Masirah TV channel, the source revealed dozens of internally displaced people in Ma’rib are subjected to harassment, and are forced to stay in camps, where some of them have even been imprisoned.
In these camps, often located close to the frontlines, the refugees are in constant danger of being caught in the crossfire of the conflict.
The military media of the Yemeni army released video footage showing showing the Saudi-led coalition forces using refugees as human shields for their forces.
The video has showed Saudi armored vehicles operating and firing at the advancing Yemeni forces from inside the refugee camp.
