The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) has said on Thursday that “the US-Saudi aggression coalition has seized two new ships carrying 41,402 tons of diesel, and prevented them from entering the port of Hodeida.”
The official spokesman of the YPC, Essam Al-Mutawakkil, explained that the two vessels were on the way to Yemen after they had been searched by international observers and had obtained UN permits, noting that the number of petroleum ships detained by the coalition has reached a total of ten.
Al-Mutawakkil added that the transporting companies recently withdrew two of the detained fuel ships that were held by the coalition.
The representative lamented the suffering of Yemen’s citizens, after many service sectors suspended their services due to the lack of fuel, as a result of the coalition’s continued detention of oil ships.
