Yemen strikes Saudi city of Jizan with 11 missiles and drones

Yemeni forces have launched a large-scale military operation targeting sensitive positions in the city of Jizan, in the southern part of Saudi Arabia, Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e announced in a statement.

“The missile force and the air force carried out a joint operation using 11 missiles and drones that targeted the Saudi Aramco Company, Patriot missile batteries, and other sensitive targets in Jizan,” Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said .

He explained that Saudi Aramco and other targets were hit with seven Saeer and Badr type missiles, hitting their targets precisely, noting that huge fires consequently broke out inside the company.

“Reservoirs and Patriot batteries were also targeted with four Sammad-3 and one Qasef-2k type drone, hitting their targets accurately,” he added .

Brigadier General Sare’e indicated that this operation comes in a response to the escalation of the  Saudi-led aggression, its continued blockade and permanent crimes, the last of which was committed on Wednesday in Saada province.

The military spokesman concluded the statement by vowing wider-scale operations as long as the aggression and blockade against Yemen continue.
