Yemeni army forces backed by the Popular Committees, have launched on Saturday major military attack on strategic sites of the Saudi-led coalition forces and Al-Qaeda militants in Al-Tala’a Al-Hamraa area, west of Ma’rib city, local sources reported.
The sources said that the Yemeni forces fierce battles as a result of which they were able to take control of the sites of the coalition forces and al-Qaeda west of the Al-Tala’a Al-Hamraa.
The battles resulted in dozens of dead and wounded among the coalition, with the most prominent of the injured being a military leader of al-Qaeda named Abdulelah Naji Al-Qarda’i.
According to the sources, the army forces advanced after their control of the western areas of the Al-Tala’a Al-Hamraa towards the north of the area, where fierce battles are currently taking place.
