The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that the coming strikes against Saudi targets will hold the name of former president of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, the martyr Saleh Al-Sammad.
“The Armed Forces are planning for more operations and they are awaiting orders by the leadership which has the final say on the time and place of such strikes,” military spokesman. Yahya Sare’e told news channel Al-Masirah .
“The blood of martyr Sammad won’t have been spilled in vain,” the military spokesman said.
The statement came during an official visit of the Supreme Political Council, the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff Presidency to the shrine of President Saleh Al-Sammad on the third anniversary of his martyrdom.
Saleh Ali Al-Sammad was President of Yemen from 2016 until his martyrdom on the 19th April 2018, when a Saudi coalition air raid targeted his vehicle near the port city of Hodeidah.
