A large explosion had occurred inside an Israeli military factory in the Tel Aviv area on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Haaretz newspaper, “the explosion was heard from long distances,” and “took place inside a factory for the production of advanced weapons and ammunition, including modern missiles.”
Preliminary investigations suggested, according to the newspaper, that the explosion had been “caused by an error during experiments that were being conducted at the factory on advanced weapons.”
It is not known yet the size of the losses caused by the explosion.
