Syrian defences repel Israel missile attack on Damascus

The Syrian Arab Army air defences have on Thursday repelled an Israeli aggression with missiles against the vicinity of Damascus, and downed most of the hostile missiles, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported, citing a military source.

According to the military source, “at about 01:38 AM, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression with waves of missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some of the sites in the surroundings of Damascus. The army air defences intercepted the hostile missiles and downed most of them.”

The source added that the aggression “caused the injury of four soldiers as well as some material damage.”

On April 8, the Syrian Arab Army air defences had already repelled a prior Israeli aggression with missiles on some sites in the surroundings of Damascus, also downing most of the hostile missiles in this case.
