Powerful explosions hit mercenary camps around Ma’rib as Yemeni forces advance

Powerful explosions have rocked Ma’rib, amid continuing fighting in its vicinity between Yemeni forces and Hadi loyalists, local sources reported on Wednesday.

Local residents said they heard two powerful explosions believed to be missiles targeting Hadi troops’ camps.

According to sources, the shelling targeted the camp of the Third Military Region, as well as the Sahn al-Jinn camp.

Moreover, pro-coalition media reported the death of mercenary officer Brigadier General Abdul-Ghani Salman, director of the so-called Officers’ Affairs Department.

The media sources said that the death of Abdul Ghani Salman took place in Sahn al-Jinn on the outskirts of the city of Ma’rib, and said that asde from him, many other mercenaries were also killed and wounded.

According to observers, the Ma’rib front has become a “black hole that devours mercenary leaders,” as they suffered heavy losses during the past two months
