At least 43 people were killed, including 13 children and three women, and 296 injured during Zionist shelling of the Gaza Strip at 11:30 AM, the Gaza Ministry of Health said in a brief statement.
Earlier, the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas said on Wednesday that it had fired more than 200 rockets at Israel, in response to strikes on a residential tower in the Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the arme wing of Hamas, have said in a statement that it fired 130 rockets towards Ashkelon, Netivot and Sderot, in response to the martyrdom of its commander and the demolition of the Al-Shorouk Tower.
Moreover, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, called the Al-Quds Brigades vowed a military operation at 9 PM as well, targeting the Israeli enemy entity.
