Yemen’s capital Sana’a and other cities are preparing for mass rallies to show support to the Palestinian people and to condemn the Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip.
The organising committee for the rally has appointed the Bab al-Yemen Square in the capital as a place for what it described as a “great rally of solidarity with the Palestinian people.”
The committee called for other rallies at the provincial level in Saada, Hodeidah, Ibb, Dhalea , Taiz, Mahweet, Jawf, Hajjah and Dhamar.
Solidarity events with the Palestinian people are expected to begin this afternoon.
The rallies come at a time when the occupied Palestinian territories are witnessing an unprecedented escalation by the Israeli entity, which has been marked by heavy airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, which have claimed hundreds of lives and injured and displaced residents of east al-Quds (Jerusalem) neighbourhoods, as part of plans to completely judaize Jerusalem.
The calls coincide with demonstrations in various countries around the world condemning the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
