A general has strike on Tuesday hit the West Bank, in protest against Israel’s continued aggression against the Palestinian people, and in solidarity with the dead and wounded in the Gaza Strip.
The strike covered all aspects of commercial and educational life, including private and public institutions. Schools and universities were closed, as well as banks and public transport.
The leadership of several Palestinian national and Islamic forces called for a comprehensive strike in all Palestinian territories and in asylum camps on Tuesday, emphasising to all Palestinians to participate extensively in national and mass events
On Monday, Hamas called on Palestinians in West Bank cities to strike and openly engage Israeli forces across several friction points.
