Leading al-Qaeda figure allegedly killed during infighting in Ma’rib

One of the so-called emirs of al-Qaeda was killed in Ma’rib city on Saturday, amid mysterious circumstances.

Al-Qaeda revealed on Saturday on its official website that terrorist leader Nasir Saeed Lakra was killed, allegedly by conscripts affiliated with Saudi-led coalition forces.

The terrorist organisation indicated that Lakra was liquidated by coalition recruits in the city of Ma’rib, even though he was participating in the ranks of that same coalition in the battle against the National Salvation Government of Yemen.

The exact reasons for his death, as well as the circumstances surrounding it, remain unclear
