The Yemeni Ministry of Tourism condemned in the strongest terms the UAE transfer of Israeli tourist groups to the Yemeni island of Socotra on Emirati visas.
The Ministry confirmed in a statement that this is contrary to international law, considering that the Yemeni island of Socotra is occupied by the countries of aggression.
It pointed out that the transfer of Israeli individuals to Socotra reveals the plans of UAE of implementing a Zionist agenda of controlling Yemeni islands.
Acting Minister of Tourism Ahmed al-Ali called in a statement for an international action to address the destructive behaviour that threatens the ecological and vital system of the Socotra Archipelago.
He called upon UNESCO to send a joint committee to assess the effects resulting from the US-Saudi aggression activities in the archipelago.
Al-Ali explained that the coalition of aggression has turned the archipelago into a center of conflict between its mercenaries, which must be stopped immediately.
He pointed out that sending military forces to the island, building camps and resorts that destroy coral reefs, their building of factories for the export of fish and their dredging of coral reefs are also among those actions.
