Over 250 African migrants drown in shipwreck disaster near Yemeni coast

More than 250 African migrants have drowned near the southern coast of Bab al-Mandab in southwestern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal , based on well-informed sources.

On Monday, a number of bodies were spotted floating along the coasts of Bab al-Mandab and Ras al-Ara.

A small boat carrying 300 migrants, most of them reportedly immigrants from Ethiopia, set off days ago from Djibouti en route to Yemen,, the sources said.

The ship sank on the way to Yemen, with some 250 people drowning in the ocean, according to the reports.
