Children in Hodeidah province have on Sunday held a a march and vigil in front of the United Nations office in the province, denouncing the decision of its Secretary-General to include Ansarullah in the list of violators of children’s rights.
The children raised banners and chanted slogans rejecting and condemning the failure of the United Nations, specifially its removal of Saudi Arabia from the list of violators of children’s rights.
A statement issued by the participants, condemned the decision that designated Ansarullah on the blacklist of violators of childhood rights while letting Saudi Arabia off the hook.
The statement, which was delivered in Arabic and English, considered that the Saudi-led aggression coalition countries and the United Nations are “partners in all crimes committed against children in Yemen.”
The statement demanded that the aggression coalition be included in the list of violators of children’s rights, and that its crimes against Yemeni children be condemned.
