The Yemeni air defences have on Sunday shot down a spy drone belonging to Saudi-led coalition in Ma’rib province, the Yemeni army spokesman said in a statement.
Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e affirmed that Yemen’s air defences were be able to down a US “Scan Eagle” spy drone, operated by the Saudi Air Forces, while it was carrying out hostile missions over the airspace of al-Meshjah area.

The shooting operation was documented by the military media and scenes of the operation and the wreckage of the aircraft will be published later, he stated.
Sare’e confirmed that the Armed Forces will “spare no effort in carrying out their responsibilities to protect Yemeni airspace and counter all hostilities.”
