Dozens of Saudi-led coalition recruits were killed and wounded in an ambush carried out in the desert areas separating the provinces of Ma’rib and Jawf.

According to local sources, Yemeni army forces managed to lure armed military reinforcements from the coalition recruits in the so-called Northern Axis led by Colonel Othman Al-Shayef to the Khanjar desert front.

Yemeni artillery initiated the ambush ny bombarding the reinforcements in the areas of Al-Raqib Al-Abyad, Al-Barqa and Al-Zahour.

Several ambulances were seen transporting dead and wounded coalition soldiers to the Commission Hospital in the city of Ma’rib, the sources added.

Last week, scores of the coalition forces and al-Qaeda terrorists, including commanders, were killed and wounded in failed military attacks against Yemeni forces in Khanjar desert.
