At least seven casualties in missile strike on US and SDF positions in Syria

Seven gunmen loyal to the US military occupation were injured during rocket attacks on a US base in the Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor countryside on Monday evening.

Some reports confirmed that casualties among the US military and its coalition forces in Syria have been reported.

According to reporters of news agencies in Hasaka province, seven militants of the US occupation-backed SDF militia, including a leader, arrived at the hospital in the city of Al-Shadadi, south of Hasaka, on Monday evening.

The hospital and its surroundings have been completely closed off by the militants of the pro-US mercenary organisation.

Sources close to the SDF confirmed that there were casualties among US military and other foreign forces, as a result of the shelling.

Syrian state media had earlier reported that “a US military base in the Omar oil field in Syria’s eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside was targeted by several missiles.”

The attack comes a day after illegal US attacks, taken under the explicit instructions of US President Joe Biden, which targeted two sites inside Syrian territory and one site inside Iraq, causing both military and civilian casualties.

The US airstrikes are in violation of international law, and targeted legal militia forces allied to the Syrian and Iraqi governments. It is noteworthy that the US currently is not even in any official state of war against either Syria or Iraq.
