A former minister in of the Saudi-led Hadi government has been attacked and humiliated by Saudi officers in Mahrah province, eastern Yemen.
Fahad Kafin, former Minister of Fishery, said in a tweet that Saudi officers stationed at the Sarfait border crossing are provoking travelers and obstructing their passage.
He explained that two Saudi officers raised their voices to him and uttered swear words, while he was speaking with the customs officer at the border crossing during the check-in.
Kafin added that the Saudi officer continued to insult him and raise his voice to him even though he introduced himself to the officer as a former minister in Hadi’s government.
He noted that such treatment was unacceptable.
Activists blamed Hadi’s government for the humiliation of Yemenis at the hands of the Saudis in the occupied provinces, a humiliation that doesn’t even spare the mercenaries of Riyadh themselves.
