A US military base in the Al-Omar oil field in the Deir Ezzor countryside in Syria has been subjected to a new attack with rocket-propelled grenades on Sunday.
Syrian News Agency (SANA) quoted civil sources as saying: “Several rocket shells fell today inside the US occupation forces’ base in Al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where plumes of smoke were seen rising from the place.”
The sources pointed out that American occupation forces closed the area, adding that it was not known whether the attack left casualties or deaths among US troops.
The US occupation of northeastern Syria has been going on for years, despite being illegal according to international law and presenting a violation of the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Syria.
