Dhi Qar Health Department announced on Tuesday, that the casualties of the fire in Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital have risen to 114, between a martyr and a wounded person, Iraqi news agency reported.
The death toll from the fire of the COVID-19 ward at Imam Hussein (p) Hospital rose to 64 martyrs and 50 injured.
Earlier, on Monday, the Dhi Qar Health Directorate announced the death of more than 36 people and the injury of 5 others in the fire incident of Imam Hussein Teaching Hospital (peace be upon him), which is used to treat COVID-19 patients.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi held urgent meetings with senior ministers and ordered the suspension and arrest of health and civil defense managers in Nassiriya, his office said in a statement.
