The Yemeni army forces have on Thursday managed to take over several Saudi-led coalition-held areas east of Rahba district in Ma’rib province.

According to local sources, the army waged a surprise attack on the coalition forces and Al-Qaeda elements, taking control over the areas of Dawan, Rabdah and Al-Sadara in the district.

Earlier in the day, the army forces managed to retake much of the district’s areas of Baqtha, Nazra, Al-Atef, Al-Rabiah, Al-Sada, Al-Ajam and Sarifa.

In the same times, the Yemeni army also liberated strategic areas in Rahba district, especially Haid Al Hamad and Rahoum.

The sources pointed out that fierce battles are now taking place between the two parties in the eastern outskirts of the Kula area, amid reports of great victories achieved by the Yemeni army forces against the occupation coalition.
