Dozens of activists have commented on a drawing by Italian artist Giovanni Gasparro depicting the Devil.
The activists circulate the drawing of the Italian artist, dating back to 2018, showing his perception of the shape of Satan. They likened the drawing of the Devil in the painting to Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, amid news that the UAE had submitted a protest card to Rome regarding the painting, which prompted Gasparro to publish an explanation.
Gasparro republished his drawing on his official account with a clarification, saying: “After thousands of reports received in the past hours, we point out that Giovanni Gasparro did not intentionally portray any known or living person in the form of the devil.”
“Any similarities are completely coincidental,” he added.
