Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor has condemned the Saudi-led coalition’s measures to raise the customs dollar per royal exchange rate by 100%, which is set to cause disastrous repercussions on the prices of basic commodities in the occupied provinces of Yemen.
During his meeting with the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital Sana’a, Hassan al-Kbous, and other members of the Chamber, Prime Minister bin Habtoor considered this procedure “part of the coalition and its agents’ continuous steps of an economic war on Yemen.”
He confirmed the National Salvation Government’s commitment to working within the framework of the Yemeni constitution and all laws, including those governing the relationship between the official state institutions and the private sector.
