At least 375 Taliban members killed in Afghan army attacks

The Afghan Ministry of Defence has announced on Tuesday that the army had killed 375 Taliban militants during the prior 24 hours.

“The Afghan army’s military operations resulted in the elimination of 375 Taliban militants and the wounding of 193 others during the past 24 hours, in addition to defusing 11 explosive devices,” the ministry said in a statement on Twitter.

The Afghan Armed Forces have conducted operations in 11 provinces, including in Kandahar, Herat and Helmand.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, announced in a speech to Parliament on Monday the start of a security plan to deal with the situation in the country, in light of the Taliban movement attempts to seize more territory.
