Central Bank in Sana’a condemns actions by Saudi-controlled bank in Aden

The Central Bank of Yemen, which is based in Sana’a, confirmed that it is monitoring the continuous and increasing steps of escalation pursued by the Saudi-led Hadi puppet government at the behest of the countries involved in aggression.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Bank indicated that the last escalation by the Saudi-led forces reveals its intention to pressure the banks to transfer their business centers to the occupied city of Aden.

The Central Bank of Aden has threatened to create a list of what it called “non-compliant banks” and force all importing companies and commercial establishmentstl to stap any financial or banking operations, including opening credits and transfers for goods, with any banks that it aims to include in its list.

This measure is seen as a way to increase the financial power of the Saudi-controlled banking system in occupied southern Yemen, as well as an attack against any banks operating on the areas of Yemen under control of the National Salvation Government.
