A person was killed and two others were injured on Monday due to armed confrontations broke out between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.
“The clashes erupted between STC’s members in ‘Ras Abbas’ area at the entrance to Salah Al-Din neighborhood in Al-Buriqa district, leaving one dead and two wounded,” local sources said.
The sources explained that the clashes erupted against the background of the dispute over a plot of land between gunmen of the STC and conscripts of ‘Aboud’ camp.
The city of Aden has been witnessing a state of insecurity and overwhelming chaos, amid growing crimes of assassination and kidnapping in the city.
