A major fire broke out on Monday in the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Hadi puppet government in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.
Local sources indicated that the fire occurred due to an electrical short circuit at the ministry’s headquarters in Al-Khasaf neighbourhood, Crater area.
The fire caused the explosion of an electrical transformer located in the courtyard of the ministry building, the sources added.
The blast comes after a fire broke out on Sunday in the Documentation and Registration Building and the Public Funds Court, which contains documents related to the state lands and real estate in the city, with the cause of that fire unknown.
