Top Yemeni diplomat: Saudi aggression against Yemen will fail like US war in Afghanistan

The head of the Yemeni national delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, has on Sunday commented on the rapid advancement of Taliban militants and the collapse of Washington’s allies.

“Every occupation has to come to an end, whether it lasts for long or short time, and now America is reaping failure after 20 years of occupying Afghanistan, and the countries involved in the US-Saudi aggression must consider the same end,” Mohammed Abdulsalm said in a tweet on Sunday.

“Isn’t it time for the mercenaries of the US-Saudi aggression to realise that using a foreigner against their people is a crime that does not result in establishing a state or an army, but results in a loss, humiliation and shame?” Abdulsalam asked.

Abdulsalam had earlier affirmed on August 11 that the United States is the one who is preventing a political solution in Yemen.

The head of the national delegation pointed out that American intervention in Yemen led to the violation of Yemen’s national sovereignty through brutal aggression and the strengthening of al-Qaeda and Daesh, and that economically they have imposed a suffocating siege that has resulted in disasters that affected all aspects of life.
