Al-Jazeera reporter in Yemen accuses UAE of fomenting chaos and creating infighting

Al-Jazeera correspondent in Yemen, Ahmed al-Shalafi, has on Sunday accused the UAE and its agents in Yemen of being behind the targeting of al-Anad air base.

Al-Shalafi said in a series of messages on Twitter: “Everyone has their own way of reading what is happening in Yemen. I personally see that everything that is happening now and has happened for at least four years, including operations, bombings, and assassinations, is related to the UAE.”

He indicated that “UAE armed formations, intelligence teams, electronic armies, funds and its agents, including Hani bin Brik, Tariq Saleh, Ammar Saleh, Abu al-Abbas, Shallal Shaya, Aidarous al-Zubaidi and other warlords, have opened prisons, implemented assassinations, and militarised the country along its length and breadth.”
