Yemen sends letter of protest to IMF in response to massive new load to Saudi-led puppet government

Yemeni Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdallah, has sent a letter of protest and alert to the Director General of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalia Georgieva, regarding the Fund’s decision to provide 650 million dollars to the Saudi-led Hadi puppet government in exile.

Minister Sharaf indicated in the letter that despite the Funds justifications and motives for its decision, the financial and administrative corruption of the Hadi puppet government, especially the leadership of the Central Bank branch in Aden Governorate, confirms that it will not use this loan for the humanitarian purposes for which it is meant, but rather in order to prolong the aggression.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs held the International Monetary Fund fully responsible for providing the loan, “most of which will undoubtedly go to private accounts and fictitious exchanges within the framework of a systematic corruption process, without the citizen benefiting from the credits.”

Minister Sharaf concluded the message by emphasising that the National Salvation Government or any future government in post-aggression Yemen will not take any responsibility or consequences for the decision to provide the loan to the mercenary government, which is mired in financial and administrative corruption

He furthermore said that the management of the IMF will be held accountable for the misuse of the funds they provided.
