Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps of Iran dismantle terrorist cell in Kurdish province

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have successfully identified and dismantled a takfiri cell in Sarvabad, Kurdistan province, IRNA news channel reported.

According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the IRGC, Beitol Moghadas, a terrorist group had entered the country from Iraqi Kurdistan, with the intention of conducting acts of sabotage.

The IRGC reportedly clashed with the terrorists and killed and wounded many of them, in addition to seizing a considerable amount of equipment and ammunition during the operation, the statement added.

Iran’s Kurdistan province has been witnessing movements of terrorist cells over the past years, with Iranian security forces regularly carrying out successful operations against them.
