At least one killed in clashes in Abyan

A citizen was killed on Monday in armed clashes in the center of Jaar city in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Local sources said that gunmen exchanged fire in the main street in the city in front of Al-Razi Hospital, killing a young man while he was on his motorcycle, without giving his name.

The sources affirmed that the motorcyclist was killed on the spot, while the gunmen fled, without revealing the reasons for the confrontations between them.

Abyan province and other southern provinces , which are under control of the UAE-backed militias, have been witnessing a security deterioration due to spread of terrorist elements.
