The Yemeni army and Popular Committees have on Wednesday managed to foil an infiltration attempt carried out by Saudi-led coalition mercenaries in Hodeidah province, western Yemen, a military official said.
According to the official, the mercenaries tried to advance towards the village of al-Hayma and the nearby farms south of al-Jabaliya area in al-Tuhita directorate, in clear violation of the Swedish ceasefire agreement, but were foiled by army forces.
On Tuesday, Saudi-led coalition forces committed 232 violations of the Stockholm ceasefire agreement in the province, the operations room to monitor violations said.
Among the violations were the creation of new combat fortifications in al-Jah area, seven raids by coalition spy planes on Durayhimi, al-Tuhita and al-Jah, and 21 flights of spy aircraft in the airspace of Hodeidah city, Kilo 16, Al-Mandhar, Durayhimi, al-Jah, al-Jabaliya, and al-Tuhita, according to the operations room.
The violations also included the launching of 118 artillery shells in seven violations, and 196 violations with various machine guns.
