Protesters in Mahrah gain first victories, but vow to continue until all Saudi forces leave

The protest committee of Mahrah province, eastern Yemen, has on Monday announced the continuation of escalated protests until the departure of every last soldier of the foreign occupation forces in Mahrah.

During a meeting of the committee, the committee’s head Sheikh Ali Salem al-Harizi said “The committee is closely following the movements of foreign forces in the province’s districts.”

Sheikh al-Harizi stressed that the “recent withdrawal of the Saudi forces from some sites in al-Masila district is the beginning of victory, which would not have occurred without the struggle of the sons of Mahrah.”

The sheikh called on all people of the province to have more patience and steadfastness, “until the complete victory is achieved,” praising the guards of Nashton Port for their success in preventing the Saudi forces from interfering with their work.
