The Yemeni air defences have on Monday shot down a spy drone belonging to Saudi-led coalition in Ma’rib province, the Yemeni army spokesman said in a statement.
Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e affirmed that Yemen’s air defences were be able to down a US “Scan Eagle” spy drone, operated by the Saudi Air Forces, while it was carrying out hostile missions over the airspace of Medghal district .

The drone was hit with a suitable missile, he added.
On August 14, the army’s air defences shot down a US spy plane of the same type, using a surface-to-air missile while it was carrying out hostilities over the airspace of the same district.
