Newborn conjoined twins die in Sana'a as result of medical shortage due to war

Two newborn conjoined twins who came into the world in mid-September, have died at the Palestine Hospital in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a, following a deterioration of their health.

Medical sources said the female conjoined twins died due to a lack of adequate medical resources resulting from the war and the closure of Sana’a Airport, which prevented them from being taken out of the country for expert treatment.

A 28-year-old mother gave birth to the conjoined infants, who were born only three legs and three arms.
