The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, Abdul Qadir al-Murtadha, has revealed on Wednesday that 68 Yemeni prisoners have been freed in a prisoner exchange won through local mediation in Taiz front.
“Sixty-eight prisoners of the army and the Popular Committees were freed today in a prisoner swap achieved through local mediation at the Taiz front,” al-Murtadha said on his Twitter account.

He added, that 113 prisoners from Saudi-backed side were released.
It is worth noting that the National Committee of Prisoners was able to conclude dozens of swap deals with the mercenaries of aggression through local understandings and mediation, away from the United Nations concerned with the prisoners’ file.
