At least five militants injured during militia infighting in Aden

At least five militants were injured, including a senior leader loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), in clashes out between the UAE-backed militia and forces of the Crater police in Aden city, local sources said on Saturday .

According to the sources, Ibrahim al-Shaeri, who is an officer in the STC, was injured the armed confrontations. Sadly, a child was also killed during the clashes, one of the sources said.

The forces of the so-called Security Belt forces closed the entrances to the area, while the displacement of residents continues due to the continuation of the clashes.

In the past few weeks, Security Belt forces carried out a large-scale campaign of arrests, mainly targeting those who had went out in recent demonstrations condemning the poor living conditions.
