At least three dead during tropical cyclone in Oman

At least three people died and several others were reported missing as a result of the tropical cyclone Shaheen in the Sultanate of Oman on Sunday.

The Oman News Agency stated that among the missing persons is a child.

The National Center for Emergency Management reported that there were two deaths as a result of the collapse of a mountainous residence for workers in the Rusayl Industrial Area.

According to the agency, it was decided to cut off traffic in the governorates of North and South al-Batinah, and to not allow movement except for emergency and humanitarian causes, as the eye of the storm is approaching land.

Shelters in the Liwa and Shinas areas in the North Al-Batinah governor ate have received 600 people, distributed among 10 centers so far.
