Yemeni doctor killed by UAE-backed militia in Lahj

A Yemeni doctor has been killed by the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia in Lahj province, south of Yemen.

According to local sources, Dr. Atef Saif Mohammed al-Harazi, who works for Doctors Without Borders, was killed Monday, by the STC militia members, at one of the STC’s military points in Tur al-Baha area.

The sources affirmed that, al-Harazi was on a taxi car to Aden city, and refused to hand over his phone and the personal possession in the point, which the STC militias opened fire and killed al-Harazi.

The doctor Al-Harazi was killed at the same point where the Yemeni-American expatriate Abdul-Malik Al-Sanabani was killed last September, the sources added.

Al-Harazi’s family called on civil society organizations to stand by its grievances, and to hold all those involved in the crime full accountable
