Lebanese media have reported that a large fire broke out inside oil installations in and near the Zahrani area, pointing out that a loud sound followed this fire.
The Lebanese channel Al-Jadeed published a video clip showing scenes from this fire. Al-Jadeed indicated that “the Lebanese army is working to evacuate the vicinity of the oil installations in Al-Zahrani after the outbreak of the fire,” pointing out that there is a fear of the spread of fire and possibility of explosions as a result.
Lebanese traffic control announced that traffic on the al-Zahrani Highway was cut off in both directions due to the outbreak of the fire in Mahalla, with traffic being diverted to the marine road instead.
